More about me
Dr. Francine Broder spent over a decade as core faculty at the Beck Institute, the international CBT training organization founded by Dr. Aaron Beck, where she played a cardinal role in developing and disseminating many of its trainings. She holds Certified Diplomate status from the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies and has published on personality disorders, treatment engagement, and eating disorders in peer-reviewed journals and reference volumes (see Select Publications below).
Her doctorate is from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she received PCOM's Advocacy, Leadership and Service award. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center and her post-doctoral residency at the Beck Institute. Her doctoral dissertation research, on predictors of weight loss following bariatric surgery, is an early throughline into her current disordered-eating workshop specialty.
Her workshop specialties sit in some of the field's higher-stakes territory: depression, suicide prevention, and disordered eating, topics she's presented on to clinicians at the national and international level through both individual and group consultation. At CBT Collective, she continues that work, providing individual and group consultation to support clinicians advancing their CBT expertise.
Approach to supervision: Individual and group consultation at CBT Collective, the same format she used for a decade-plus at the Beck Institute training clinicians nationally and internationally.
"She really created an atmosphere that made it okay to be fallible and ask for support from other clinicians." Another clinician pointed to "dedicated time that focuses on both clinical skills and professional growth." (Internal trainer feedback, Sept 2026.)
Certifications: Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (Diplomate) and Beck Institute Certified Clinician
