CONFIDENCE IN EVERY REFERRAL

Why Partners Refer to CBT Collective

Expert Clinician Matching

Every referral begins with a consultation led by a care coordinator trained in our clinician’s specialties and modalities. We consider each client’s needs, goals, preferences, and logistics to thoughtfully match them with the right clinician.

Specialized Care, When It Matters

From anxiety and OCD to ADHD, autism, trauma, eating disorders, perinatal mental health, and evaluations, our clinicians provide evidence-based care across a broad range of specialty areas.

Rapid Access to Care

With availability across a broad range of specialties, our intake team works to connect individuals with the right clinician as quickly as possible—often with therapy openings available within a week.

Therapy and Evaluations Under One Roof

Alongside therapy, we offer diagnostic and neuropsychological evaluations, so partners can refer confidently knowing multiple needs are addressed within one organization.

An Extension of Your Care

We understand that every referral reflects your trust. That's why we complement—never replace—the care you already provide, treating every individual with responsiveness, professionalism, and personalized attention.

OUR APPROACH TO CARE

Evidence-Based Care Designed for Meaningful Change

CBT Collective provides specialized mental health care grounded in proven, evidence-based therapies. Our clinicians use approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring care to each person’s needs, goals, and clinical presentation.

Treatment is active, structured, and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on building practical skills clients can continue using long after therapy ends. We support children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Explore some of our areas of expertise below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a good fit for referral?

CBT Collective works with children, adolescents, and adults seeking specialized, evidence-based mental health care. We treat a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, OCD, ADHD, autism, trauma, eating disorders, perinatal mental health, and provide comprehensive psychological evaluations. If you're unsure whether someone is the right fit, we're always happy to discuss a case before you refer.

What ages do you work with?

CBT Collective provides care for children, adolescents, and adults, with clinicians specializing in different ages, developmental stages, and family needs.

Do you accept insurance?

CBT Collective is an out-of-network practice. Many clients with PPO or POS plans receive 50–80% reimbursement for session costs after meeting their deductible. We provide superbills and help clients understand their out-of-network benefits and reimbursement process during the consultation—so referral partners don't have to navigate insurance questions themselves.

How quickly can someone get started?

Our Care Coordination team typically contacts new referrals within one business day, and therapy appointments are often available within a week. Evaluation timelines vary based on the type of evaluation and clinician availability. We're happy to provide current availability when you reach out.

Do you offer therapy and evaluations?

Yes. CBT Collective provides individual, couples, and family therapy, along with comprehensive psychological, neuropsychological, psychoeducational, ADHD, and autism evaluations—allowing many individuals and families to access multiple services within one practice.

Can I discuss a case before referring?

Absolutely. If you'd like to discuss a case before making a referral, contact our Partnerships team at partnerships@cbtcollective.com. We'll help determine whether CBT Collective is the right fit and typically respond within one business day.

How do I send a referral?

You can submit a referral using our secure online referral form or contact our Partnerships team to discuss a case before referring. We also work with organizations that have established referral workflows and can accommodate their preferred process whenever possible.

Can I continue seeing my client while they're working with CBT Collective?

Yes. Many referrals are made for a specific area of specialty while the referring provider continues supporting the individual in another capacity. We view ourselves as a complement to your care—not a replacement—and collaborate whenever appropriate.

Will you communicate with referring providers?

Yes. With the client's consent, we collaborate with referring providers whenever appropriate to support continuity of care. We value responsive communication and coordinated treatment planning.

Do you offer virtual appointments?

Yes. We offer in-person and telehealth services across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Several of our clinicians also hold PSYPACT licensure, allowing virtual care in 40+ states—helpful for college students, clients who travel frequently, or those relocating.
